It is all about presentation. If your going to curise the window, you need to organize the wires and add some sort of lighting. If it preforms good, but looks like junk. It is junk. Its all or nothing.
ReplyDeleteI think you're computer is awesome. It looks good too. ;-) Mine sucks, frankly. I won't lie. It's kind of slow, really big, the cd drive is popping out, the face is coming off, it likes to spaz out and ignore me, and the font capture program tends to self-destruct every now and then. But hey, it works, it was free to me, and it's pretty much got my life on it, so I'm fond of it. Besides, I'm sure it isn't too happy with my lack of computer skills and frequent abuse. And there's always the computers at the library if we need a break from each other. Lol.
ReplyDeleteUnlike my car, my computer is in need of a major overhall like I need to get a new one. Ken I love your computer and I remember all the fun that all of us had getting AMD64 stuff working on it.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a picture of my computer, so here's a picture of the case. Just imagine it has lots of stuff inside:
ReplyDeleteImage stolen from NewEgg (as the watermark clearly shows).
Not only does my computer look really cool (it meets the aforementioned "lights" criterion), it also has some great specs.
2.0 GHz AMD Athlon64 3200+
1GB DDR RAM (No name brand...never could get the OCZ to work)
EPoX EP-9NPAJ mobo with nForce4 and integrated GBit ethernet
300 GB Maxtor MaxLine III SATA Hard Drive
256 MB NVIDIA Geforce 6600 PCIe video card
NEC ND-3540A DVD+/-RW DL drive
ASYS Z-50 Robot case with 500W power supply
Logitech X-530 5.1 Surround Sound
Running:
Windows XP Pro x64 edition
Windows XP Pro 32-Bit
Kubuntu Linux
I'm sure there's more stuff about it that's awesome too, so if I think about it, I'll post it later.
Ken? I dogged on your computer and your not even going to defend it? If you think that it is the best, put up a fight.
ReplyDeleteStop trying to pick fights, AP.
ReplyDeletepeacemaker, why do you think that I am trying to start a fight? If somebody makes a statement that their computer is the best, and then somebody else says that its not, and gives a reason why. Then you would think that the person making the statement in the first place would try and defend their self proclaimed title.

ReplyDeletejust to let you know, I don't think your computer is junk
JM says:
even though AP seems to
JM,
ReplyDeleteI never said that Kens computer was junk. All I said was that, if you are going to have a window, the inside needs too look as good as the outside. That is the whole reason for having a window. It serves no other function. Kens computer performs well. It is the nicest one in that reguard. I am all about presentation. If it doesn't look as good as it performs, it needs help.
SO WHY DOES EVERYBODY THINK THAT I THINK KENS COMPUTER IS JUNK! I AM JUST GIVING HIM A HARD TIME FOR NOT MAKING THE INSIDE AS NICE AS THE OUTSIDE. DON'T MAKE STUFF UP!
I think that you've answered your own question.
ReplyDeleteQuestion:
"why do you think that I am trying to start a fight?"
Answer:
"I AM JUST GIVING HIM A HARD TIME"
ms peacemaker
ReplyDeleteIf you knew me and you knew Ken, then you would understand. But obviously you don't! You will never get it. It is above and beyond your understanding. So quit trying. Your wasting my time. Plus Ken has some good news for everybody.
lol, you guys are great. I was going to stay politically neutral but then I realized that AP said in his second posting "If you think that it is the best, put up a fight" and then in the following posting "why do you think that I am trying to start a fight?" Does anyone but me see the irony in this?
ReplyDeleteAlso, in response to "SO WHY DOES EVERYBODY THINK THAT I THINK KENS COMPUTER IS JUNK" I would point out the original posting which read "If it preforms good, but looks like junk. It is junk." Perhaps it was wrong of me to read into that statement the implication that you were saying Ken's computer was junk...?
Oh well, it's not like I even care that much anyway. My computer performs like junk AND looks like junk, so I am not even in the runnings for coolness.
