Best Movies

Okay, guys, it's time that we all get together and decide what the best movies are. Let me list mine and then you can all list yours...

- The Transporter 1 & 2
- Bourne Identity & Bourne Supremacy
- Star Wars Triology
- Armaggedon (What can I say, it's chessy, but I like it)
- The Singles Ward (the only Mormon produced film that I like)

That's all for now, I'll post more as I think of them. What do you guys like?

    Never seen the Transporter.
    Bournes--good entertainment, but not enough to go on my list of all-time favorites.
    Star Wars good.
    Armageddon makes the scientist in me writhe on the floor in pain (I also hate it for other reasons).
    Singles Ward--good for a laugh, but definitely not life-changing.

    You are forgetting some of the best works of art that the movie industry has ever produced, such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Narnia.

    I'll let you know my personal list of favorites as soon as I think of them.

    The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The experance of seeing this movie in a theater is one that you will never forget.

    The Bourne movies are good, and Star Wars is classic. I also like The Princess Bride. It's got to be one of the best movies ever made. Also my favorites:

    The Man Who Knew Too Little
    Singing in the Rain
    The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.
    Bringing up Baby
    The Odd Couple

    The Bourne Identity and Supremacy movies are abominations to the literary world.

    The Princess Bride is... ugh. Ok, it's NOT an abomination to the literary world, I'll admit. It's not even that bad of a movie. ONCE. However I will be forever disturbed by the amount of people that are seemingly obsessed with it, that can quote every line in it (and do quite frequently), and that have seen it more times than all other movies put together. It's NOT THAT GREAT. It's actually kind of dumb. I don't understand why such a high percentage of Utah people have such a fixation with it.

    While we're on the topic of crappy movies, A Christmas Story is hands down the worst, I-am-stupider-for-having-watched-that excuse for a movie that was ever conceived in the mind of a screen writer.

    Yes I have read all the books. Yes I know the symbolism. And yes... I still think its a horrible show.

    My top 5 Movies/Movie Series
    1. 2001: A Space Odyssey(best soundtrack ever)
    2. The James Bond Series (best use of innuendo/pick up lines)
    3. LOTR (best Cinematography)
    4. Star Wars Sextet: (best CG)
    5. tie The Right Stuff (best non-fiction movie ever)
    5. tie The Rocky Horror Picture Show (best movie to watch in a group)

    Sorry. I think I started the bad movie ranting. But I did promise a more constructive post so here it is:

    Comedies:
    -UHF
    -Man Who Knew Too Little
    -Oscar
    -Clue


    I'll put up Action and Drama categories later. That might actually take some thought. But for now...I'm off to class.
